Q: What is the fitness level required for this 7-day Uganda safari?
A: You should be in good general health. The game drives are easy, but the gorilla trek in Bwindi involves walking on uneven forest terrain, sometimes steep or muddy. It might take 2–6 hours. Staying fit really enhances your experience. Porters are available to help with your bag if needed.

Q: When is the best time to take this 7-day Uganda safari?
A: You can travel all year in Uganda. The drier months (June-August, December-February) offer easier road access and better wildlife viewing. But even during wetter months the jungle is lush, crowds are fewer and the gorilla trek remains superb. Wildlife remains active regardless of season.

Q: How far in advance should I book?
A: Gorilla permits in Bwindi sell out months ahead. Booking 6-12 months in advance is recommended, especially for the luxury tier. Accommodation choices also fill fast during peak travel windows, so early booking ensures your preferred lodge and dates.

Q: Are children allowed on the gorilla trek?
A: Children’s participation depends on current park rules—they vary in age minimum for gorilla trekking (often 15 years or older). Children under age may still join other nature walks or lodge-based activities. Be sure to check permit rules before booking.

Q: Can solo travellers join this safari?
A: Yes. Trumpet Adventures welcomes solo travellers, couples and small groups. Single occupancy is possible (with a small supplement). We can also customise for your group size. This 7-day Uganda safari is flexible and ideal for both solo and shared bookings.

Q: What level of accommodation can I expect?
A: For budget tier you’ll stay in comfortable lodges with basic amenities. Mid-range offers more comfort—ensuite rooms, better meals and lodge facilities. Luxury tier feature high-end lodges with premium services, superb location and added comforts. Each level is selected to match your travel style and budget.
